Lanie's Children Fund

Lanie is in the terminal stage of cancer. She is the single mother of 2 children - Jolan who is 18 and Kayla who is 21. I am her family doctor and am trying to help the children and put Lanie's mind more at ease before she passes. They have very little money and Kayla is working 3 jobs in order for them to survive. Lanie is, quite rightly, worried as to how the children will have to struggle and make a life here without her. I am hoping for the kind generosity of people to help the children go forward. They can work part time but should have the opportunity to continue school and build the futures their mother worked so hard to give them.
Lanie was a kind and gentle caregiver. She left her home and children in the Philippines to work abroad, send home money and eventually bring her children to North America to give them a better life. The children arrived in 2015 for a brief happy period, but will soon lose their mother to cancer.
These are kind gentle people who deserve our support in their time of need. Kayla and Jolan are good children, intelligent and of good character. With our assistance they can still have the opportunity to build a life here - just as Lanie had planned.
