Hi! We are the Perez’s. Marion is an educator of 18+ years. She grew up in Germany and traveled extensively throughout her life; this is where her love for people, languages and culture all started. After finishing her Bachelor’s, she had no idea what she would do. Marion ended up teaching in various capacities which include adjunct faculty, secondary language teacher of German and teach ESL overseas in Baku, Azerbaijan. She has a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction and is currently finishing a Doctor of Education.
Aaron was born and raised in Artesia, NM. His mother is an elementary school teacher of over 30 years; that is where Aaron’s love for learning all started. Aaron entered the field of education as a graduate student where he taught Psychology, then became Senior Project Manager for the Space Grant at New Mexico State University where he ran NASA-funded education programs throughout the state of New Mexico and nationally. In addition, he taught middle school in public schools and is now a Principal at a high school in Denver. Aaron has a Master's in Educational Technology and is currently finishing a Doctor of Education.
Our love for people, education, languages, culture and globalization has passionately led us to open a language school with the intention of becoming a comprehensive Christian University. We are starting off by offering Spanish and German to secondary students as we have found a huge need in the home school communities and charter schools. Our curriculum is written to meet national examination standards and be executed in form of one-on-one face-to-face online courses with supplemental material for at home to become proficient in a language.
Globalization and the need for languages has never been as crucial as today - it is our future. Technology has become increasingly progressive and innovative. It has never been as important as now to develop global perspectives and language in students so they are able to meet the demands of globalization today and to come.
Classes will be offered to 9th - college level. Classes can be booked starting June 13 on our website http://southwestulac.com/ . The first class, a trial class is on us!
