Help Lane Barron

In late March Lane Barron was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM), the most common and deadliest form of malignant brain tumors, and was given 3 to 6 months to live. By the time the doctors finally diagnosed him, it was already affecting his speech. He is now bedridden and can’t walk without someones assistance. His speech capability has deteriorated to the point that he can’t talk now. The cancer has proved to be very aggressive and quickly devastating.

Because GBM cancer is so aggressive, Jacqui and Lane decided to push the date of their marriage ahead by a month, and got married on April 8, 2017. It was a beautiful wedding and reception.

Lane wishes to stay in a familiar environment and remain in his own home as long as possible. Hospice services are helping for a few hours once a week, but they don’t provide staff to stay with Lane. Lane now is unable to walk on his own and cannot be left alone. We all hope to make his remaining time with us as comfortable and as meaningful as possible.

Providing care to a loved one who is terminally ill can be emotionally and physically exhausting, but Jacqui has been courageous and unwavering in her care for Lane. She has been at home taking care of Lane since the beginning of April and so hasn’t been able to work, and they need help now just to cover basic living expenses.

Please consider giving to this Go Fund Me account for Lane and Jacqui. Your generous donation will help with the day to day care of Lane, medical expenses and prescriptions, and hopefully help from a nursing assistant a few days a week.
