Lane County 3D Printed PPE

We are raising money to locally produce PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for medical professionals and other front-line workers. This will purchase materials and equipment to produce as many as possible in a short time. Our focus is currently medical face shields but may evolve with need.

We are currently printing the Prusa RC2 face shield headband. These will be assembled by Repkord in California and distributed to medical facilities in the most need.

1kg of filament (plastic) makes about 20 face shields. 1kg = $25-30. 

Materials we're purchasing currently:
3D printing filament (PETg in 1.75 and 2.85 diameters)
Gallon ziploc bags (for sealing prints afterwards)
Gluesticks (helps with adhesion)
Postage and packaging materials (for sending to Repkord for assembly)
Disposable gloves
Cleaning supplies

Materials we may add:
Additional 3d printers to increase throughput (about $220/printer)
PETg sheets for local waterjet cutting (local production of clear face shield)
elastic bands (local production of complete face shield)
