<div><strong>Ukulandia / Buena Vista</strong> is a terrific location in the south of Spain, where you can work on your art project and relax the nervous system by looking into the distance. It is deliberately a 'low cost' location, because we strive for inclusion. Everybody must be able to enjoy self-awareness and inspiration on this little spot surrounded by mountain views.

<div>Due to the winter of 2026 we need to take steps. It was horrific. Such an extreme amount of rain fell in the Serranía de Ronda that the consequences are still visible today. In early February 2026, a total of 455 mm (l/m²) of rain fell in Cortes de la Frontera. On February 4, as much as 175 mm fell in a single day. That was perhaps the day of doom.

<div>It was very frightening, because the ground was saturated everywhere and all the water had nowhere left to go. This resulted in immense landslides throughout the area and 576 earthquakes in the period between February 3 and 11.

<div>Unfortunately, a major landslide occurred on our own ‘Ukulandia’ mountain. A great amount of soil was washed away and many trees have perished. A landslide with a surface area of ​​± 40m x 75m and a depth of up to 8 meters cannot simply be pushed back.

<div>The municipality is not a real helping hand. However, they did repair the road in the garden without making proper agreements, resulting in a significantly raised road using soil from our hole in garden. Yes, naturally we need this soil back to create terraces and reinforce the mound to prevent further soil erosion.

<div>All in all, we will have to make a virtue of necessity. It will be a huge job that needs to be completed despite everything. For this, we are seeking support from anyone who can and wants to support this project.

<div><strong>How to spend the money: </strong>
</div>
<div>The man with the excavator costs 35 euros per hour, and the time it takes to fill the hole and repair everything is enormous. We are also considering stone walled terraces and plants or trees with long roots, such as vetiver and eucalyptus. We hope to make ends meet with a sum of 15,000.
