<div>We plan to build a new playground at the <a href="https://deepcreeklions.org/service-programs/mchenry-community-park/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">McHenry Community Park</a>(1249 Bumble Bee Rd, Accident MD) that provides accessible features for children of a variety of ability levels. This playground will be an addition to the community hub that is already developing at the park with a fenced dog park, disc golf course, bicycle pump track, local history and art center, 6 miles of trails and the other usual amenities of a public park. The <a href="https://deepcreeklions.org/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Deep Creek Lake Lions Club</a>manages this open-to-the-public park for the betterment of our community for visitors of all ability ranges.

<div>Inclusive playgrounds go beyond accessibility opportunities for physical challenges. They welcome and engage kids and adults with a wide range of abilities. For example, kids with visual or intellectual disabilities may find even an accessible playground to be geared primarily toward children who don’t share their needs. <strong>Inclusive parks are designed with all users in mind,</strong> so no one should feel like the space is incompatible with their abilities and interests.
