Landes Family Medical Fund

As many of you know, Gabe Landes has Polycystic Kidney Disease that requires him to have a kidney transplant. He will undergo this surgery on January 9. Although the Landes family has known this was coming and have made preparations, it is a procedure that requires a lengthy recovery. The family is uncertain how much their financial responsibility will be since much depends on how Gabe's body responds to the transplant, which medications will be required and for how long.  As if this weren't enough, the family is facing another unexpected medical expense as their youngest now needs to have dental work done! I'll share some of Cheryl Landes' words regarding this extra challenge: 

"To catch you up on things, we got an additional blow this week concerning Evelyn's teeth.  This will cost us around $2000. The very last thing we need right now. Yesterday, we went to pre-op appointments for Gabe all day which was overwhelmingly emotional and draining. The cost of surgery is a known cost that will be huge, but the amount of medications and follow-ups he will have post-op was astounding. Some of the medications will be lifetime. God has never left us or forsaken us. He is faithful and has always provided. He is also unchanging, so I am confident that He has gone before us in this. However, I am human and fallen and to be honest this brings such great anxiety to me. We are leaning into Him and trusting Him as he works all of this out."
