Land for Sanctuary Mustangs

UPDATE There is now a time frame as a lease will be up in September and Salvation needs to move on to our land before that happens : We are looking to purchase land in the State of Oklahoma to provide a forever “ sanctuary” and rehab setting for our beloved wild mustangs. Salvation Wild Mustang Sanctuary Corp (501c3) currently funds & cares for 80+ Plus mustangs pulled from kill-pens. These animals are now housed in foster & boarding ranches throughout the Midwest.Many will stay as wild horses - but just as many will need gentling and rehab and will make great domestic partners. We are currently looking at multiple properties that range in price from $600-$900k. The properties must have small homes for our training & care teams. It must have acreage suitable for foraging animals and natural wind breaks and water sources. Of course - solid fencing and corrals are vital to this project. With your help we can secure a location that meets all these needs and we will begin the tedious process of making this become a reality. Our plan for this ranch would be to create a self sustaining facility that rescues, rehabs and re-homes those that are able and provides sanctuary for those who are not. This is an immediate need as we need to begin moving herds by late summer 2023. In addition to caring for the horses - The ranch would offer camping, tours, educational clinics and events . History has shown that youth events and specialized adoptions help provide great security for our horses, These type projects will be ongoing. Our goals remain on focusing on creating an environment where our mustangs are forever safe and not at risk of ending in a slaughter pipeline again. We need your help.
