We are proud to introduce the Delight Foundation Africa organization to you.
Delight Foundation Africa is a registered non- government organization(NGO) with permit number INDP0002451NB which helps orphans, street kids and other vulnerable children in Mbale Uganda to reach a better, brighter future. Children are essentially our future yet sadly many of them are abandoned or abused at a young age. Our central focus is with these vulnerable children and their personal growth, and to afford them opportunities that they would never otherwise have had. It is our moral duty and responsibility to help these children and we will do it with determination and tireless commitment.
We realized that the children’s plight needed an urgent attention and we could not just stand a loop and pity or sympathize with them, but be helped in attaining their full human dignity. We envision a future where every vulnerable, street, abandoned, disadvantaged, homeless and at- risk child lives in emotional, physical, relational and spiritual wholeness there by ending the cycle of abuse and neglect of children in our community.
As we recognize that children occupy a very unique and privileged position in the African society and that for the harmonious development of their personality, the child should grow up in a family environment and in an atmosphere of happiness, love, guidance and understanding. From a child’s physical and mental development, they require care in regard to physical, mental, moral and social development. And all this cannot be achieved without establishing for them a suitable and permanent home/center where monitoring can be done.
The organization has no permanent home for these children. It is just renting a small house where the children are kept currently, but with challenges of limited space and high costs of rent per month.
Because of this, the organization (Delight Foundation Africa) is raising money to purchase land which will help to establish a permanent home/center for the children. There is already land which was got and the owner wants 14,500 Dollars for only land but the land is not well leveled so leveling will be required if its purchased , 1500 Dollars for leveling and an estimate of 9000 Dollars will cater for fencing the land with a wall fence, purchasing a gate and the labor.
We ask whoever has a heart of helping the vulnerable, street and homeless children in a Uganda Africa to please stand with us in this campaign of raising money to purchase land where a home of these children will be put. You can stand with us through donating to this cause, you can share about this campaign to your friends, churches, work place, and other places that you see fit, and you can also organize fundraising events purposely to raise money for land. Every donation will go towards the campaign for land.
