Hey everyone,
If you are reading this, then chances are that you already know that I am a music fanatic and a devoted KISS fan for almost 40 years. Four decades! My father even met Paul Stanley in June 1979 and scored my whole family tickets to the Dynasty Tour concert the next night. My first concert! Gene wore a very distinct costume that night, not his usual one, and only for that show. I am still able to find pictures from my first KISS show decades later from that costume and it warms my heart. The very first song I learned how to play on guitar was a KISS song that Gene sang. I have seen them a dozen times over the years. My entire wardrobe in high school was KISS tour shirts. The fact that most people dismissed them made me like them even more and reinforced my belief in being true to yourself and what you love. KISS wasn't just a band, it was a way of life.

Almost 40 years later, an incredible opportunity has come up to actually meet Gene Simmons and purchase his career spanning Vault box set that includes meeting him and so much more, but unfortunately, I am unable to come up with the funds at this time. And this really bums me out. I have always prided myself on being frugal (okay, maybe even cheap) and a life without cigarettes, alcohol, or drugs has always given me extra money to spend on music and fandom. But, being a homeowner (a responsible one) with a dog that has health issues (crazy expensive medication) and a career in retail has left me without the moolah for this event, which is coming up next July in Atlanta.
