Recently, FEMA had deployed our friend, Joe, to Nebraska to assist people affected by severe storms and tornadoes that occurred in mid June of this year. While there he suffered a stroke. This has left him with a partial loss of sight among other issues on his left side. He has traveled this country on a great journey. He has brought love and joy to his friends with his positive outlook on life. He now has another road he must travel. Unfortunately he will have to leave the bike in the trailer for this one.
Joe will not be able to work for an unknown period of time. He is still in Nebraska. The hospital there has taken good care of him. He is spending a couple hours each day in physical therapy working to regain what has been lost. Unfortunately, insurance will not cover all of the astronomical medical expenses. He will need more than the allotted sick time to recover.
