Lance Paul Memorial Scholarship Fund

This is Lance Paul's dad, Todd, and my family wants to establish a memorial fund in Lance's name to provide scholarship money to students in need of support. Lance passed away after a short illness on September 20th 2021 at the age of 18 years old. One hidden blessing was that he was able to donate several organs to people in dire need. We would like to believe that he lives on with those organ recipients. Lance had just graduated from Ryle High School this spring and was a freshman at Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky when his life was tragically cut short. He had such a big heart and came into contact with so many kids across the Tri-State via his love for soccer and developed new friends from so many area schools. Lance's passion was playing soccer which he has done since he was 4 years old. He developed his love early on playing recreational soccer for a few years before starting his club career with NKSA. He then spent the last 10 years playing for Kings Hammer Soccer Club. Soccer provided him the opportunity to travel all over the country as well as internationally and developed friends around the world. He also got to enjoy a four year high school soccer career and spent 2 years playing with one of his brothers which was his favorite soccer experience. Lance also had a great network of friends across the local area and so cherished spending time with his friends. Through Lance's lifetime love of athletics, especially soccer, he would have wanted to give back to the local community in the form of a scholarship opportunity for deserving young students. So in lieu of any flowers, please support his memorial fund so we can provide scholarship opportunities for many years to come.
