As many of you already know, Lance began his battle against Melanoma in 2019, fighting one of the most challenging types of cancer. They worked with some of the region's leading oncologists to ensure Lance received the best treatment. This meant many trips to Seattle to ensure he got the treatments and follow-ups needed; thus, he went into remission in 2021. Unfortunately, during his last biannual scan, Lance found out his cancer had returned, and in typical Lance style, he said, "Let the Battle Begin."

Meanwhile, Lisha, Lance's rock, who has been by his side for every step of his journey, was diagnosed with breast cancer in early 2022. Lance, without hesitation, became her rock.

As they both fight their battle with cancer, they are the support and advocate for their partner, fighting a similar struggle. All while they try to keep life regular for their boys. Barrett will start his first year at U of I in August, and Grant will enter his sophomore year at Moscow High School. This family amazes those around them every day with their grit and resiliency.

To know Lance and Lisha is to learn kindness, laughter, and generosity. They are people who will never ask for help but always lend a helping hand. Family, Friends, Colleagues, and the youth of Moscow all know they could turn to the "Abby's" if they ever needed anything.

Undoubtedly, these warriors will battle cancer with unmatched strength and positivity. But unfortunately, this battle means many trips to Seattle, flights, hotels, gas, food and several expenses not covered by insurance.
