Lana medical procedure

Hello my name is Matt. I decided to try to raise funds for my wife Lana since United Health Care has decided to decline my wife’s prior authorization that she so badly needs.
My wife has had migraine since January 9th 2016. We have been to about 10 doctors and we were finally told that her symptoms were not due to having an actual migraine. Lana tried 12 different prescriptions and treatments and has been admitted to the hospital for treatments as well. Then we finally found a doctor that diagnosed her with "Occipital Neuralgia". This was explained to us as nerve damage or blockage on the occipital nerve which is on the top of the spine and the base of the skull. Her doctor explained that we can do two things to help. 1) pain meds and other meds 2) Occipital nerve stimulation implant. She started with the meds and the pain/migraine keeps getting worse so we tried to apply to United health Care to get this implant because we are required to get a 5 day temporary implant then if that works we would have to re-apply for the permanent procedure to be approved. it took 6 months to get the trial approved (later we found out the trial approval was an accident). Lana did not have a headache or migraine and said she had about 95% relief for all 5 of the days that she had the trial. After the 5 days they have to take the trial out and report the findings to UHC and re apply for the permanent procedure now. We have been declined twice now and are stuck. This insurance company approved the trial on the basis that if the trial worked and showed improvement in Lana we could get the permanent procedure done. Insurance had deemed this operation/procedure as experimental and not necessary for my wife. This pain has dramatically impacted all of our life’s. If Lana is active for one day she has to be in bed for 2-4 days depending on how active she was. I have 2 kids and I would love for them to really be able to enjoy their time with her rather than just laying around the house. This pain has massively impacted my wife’s business as a hair stylist. Lana has had to reschedule many clients constantly or even refer them to another stylist.
UHC teased us with the trial and has told me that they will not be approving this operation which is why I am asking for help today. The cash price for this procedure is $47,000.00. I do not know if I can raise that much but I am giving it a shot. I have begun to apply for medical loans, I’m not sure how much I can get but I’m trying everything possible. She cannot continue to live like this every day for the rest of her life. Please help our family be a happy and joyful family again.
