The LAMS Jazz Bands are in their 4th year and are swinging! Jazz 1 is strong across the board with a fantastic rhythm section. Both Jazz 2 bands are getting a great start and students are ready for their first concert on Oct 17th!
Last year LAMS Jazz 1 scored Superior & Excellent ratings at the Albuquerque Jazz Festival and individual students won the Outstanding Vibraphone and Outstanding Trombone awards!
This March, the band will travel to Santa Cruz, CA to perform at the Santa Cruz Jazz Festival. The students are practicing hard and excited about this opportunity. They are also working hard to raise as much as possible for the trip.
