The Lakes International Comic Art Festival, the only festival of its kind in the UK, is a not for profit arts festival, aiming to raise awareness of the transformational power of comics.
Whilst the festival's appeal to an existing UK and international fanbase is secure, in 2020 we are seeking to broaden the range of young people engaging with comics by offering a programme specifically developed by and for young people..... at this year's festival we wish to extend the offering to include a greater range of workshops, films and youth-focussed events.
We're hoping to raise these additional funds in the first quarter of 2020 to allow us to have the best possible programme in place for the festival in October. Any and every bit of support is massively appreciated by all our team!
