Lake Cle Elum Lifejacket Stations

Lake Cle Elum is an amazing place to visit and live, but sometimes danger can lurk beneath the waves, especially during high wind. In the last 5 years, 4 people have lost their lives to drowning, 3 of them were children. None of these victims were wearing live jackets, and Kittitas County Fire District 6 wants to change that!

A new life jacket station was just put up at Speelyi Beach; next goals are Wish Poosh Boat Launch and Morgan Creek. We’ll be working with multiple agencies including the USFS, KC Search & Rescue and others.

Because of COVID, we’ve canceled two fundraisers and the third is in limbo, which is why we’re asking for your help via this page. We’ve got plans to save lives, and  together we can make that happen!

Feel free to donate here, via mail, drop off at Station 61 (Atlantic AVE) or in personwith any D6 firefighter. Together we can prevent tragedy ❤️
