Tax deductible
Patriot Aquatics and the Lake Brantley Aquatic Center
If you are receiving this, you or your children have participated or are currently participating, in aquatic programs offered by Patriot Aquatics at the Lake Brantley Aquatic Center.

Patriot Aquatics and the Lake Brantley High School Athletic Boosters have initiated an effort to fund the purchase of 16 NEW STARTING BLOCKS, so that we can continue to offer high caliber programs and events here at the Lake Brantley Aquatic Center! Your continued support of Patriot Aquatics is so important to us. Thank you for allowing us to serve the Central FL community over the past 40 years.

History of the Facility:

1. When did it open?
May 1994

2. How was it funded?
Cooperative effort between LBHS Athletic Booster Club, Lake Brantley High School, SCPS, and the City of Altamonte Springs.

3.  What was the cost of the facility?
$1.3 Million

4. Anything else?
Mission bay purchases – In 1992 the LBHS Athletic Booster Club purchased equipment and fixtures from a large Aquatic Center in South Florida that had closed its doors. Among the items purchased were starting blocks, lane ropes timing systems components, diving boards, stainless steel stantions, flooring, and moveable bulkheads. At the time, these items represented over $250,000 worth of improvements to the soon to be built pool at Lake Brantley High School. The Boosters paid a fraction of the value of these items allowing them to construct a high level competitive facility at the school.

One of the Most Versatile Aquatic Facilities in Florida:
Over the last 27 years, tens of thousands of children have used the facility to learn to swim (largest learn to swim program offered in Seminole County), recreate (aquatics camp & summer swim league), and take their swimming careers to new levels (competitive year-round swim team and water polo club).

Hosted countless competitive swimming events.

The facility at Lake Brantley is recognized as one of the fastest pools in the nation, enabling competitors to achieve lifetime best swims.

Improvements:
Over the last 15 years, we have benefited from significant improvements made by the LBHS Athletic Booster Club.

- Over 200 feet of permanent shade structure for spectators and participants
- Two Daktronic scoreboards, one 10 line and one water polo scoreboard
- Competitive lane ropes for swimming competitions (funded by Patriot Aquatics)

Still Needed:
The last major update still needed is to replace our current antiquated starting blocks. In doing so, we will be able to continue to offer high caliber programs and events for all competitors.

We would like to purchase 16 SPECTRUM XCELLERATOR STARTING BLOCKS or their equivalent, (pictured on the updates tab). The cost to purchase these blocks and have them installed is projected to be $80,000.

Who will you be donating to?
The Competitive Aquatic Support Foundation Inc.

- The Competitive Aquatic Support Foundation Inc is the non-profit arm of Patriot Aquatics. We have used this foundation to help fund training equipment purchases and travel expenses for current swimmers. This is a 501(c)(3) foundation and any donations toward this foundation are tax-deductible.

How will the money be applied toward the starting blocks?
The Competitive Aquatic Support Foundation Inc is working hand in hand with the Lake Brantley High School Athletic Boosters. All donations will be directly received by the Competitive Aquatic Support Foundation Inc and forwarded to the LBHS Athletic Boosters as a donation towards the purchase of 16 new starting blocks. Any additional funds received over and above the cost of the purchase and installation of the starting blocks will be applied toward retrofitting the fixtures on our bulkhead to which starting blocks mount. Next on the list will be the maintenance and repair of the two 36 year old bulkheads installed in the pool.

Should the full funding amount not be reached, we will start by purchasing not less than 8 starting blocks and continue to work toward fundraising for the additional 8 blocks.

Any amount you would like to contribute would be greatly appreciated! We would like to end this effort by November 1st 2021 so that the blocks may be purchase and installed by the end of the year!

Thank You for your contribution!
