Lainie's Virtual Lemonade Stand for Germantown K9s
Donation protected
What started as a little lemonade stand to teach Lainie about helping others and supporting your community has turned into quite the story!
Lainie sold fresh squeezed lemonade and puppy chow during our family rummage sale with all of the proceeds going to our local Germantown Police K9 Unit. Lainie's great grandfather recently passed away and was a 31 year veteran of the Grand Rapids Police Department in Michigan. Our family also had a German Shepherd who we lost to cancer in 2015. For these reasons, supporting law enforcement and the K9 Unit is a cause near and dear to us.
When our local police chief stopped by and shared her stand on Facebook, it took off from there!
We had people from all over the community stop by to donate to the cause and try Lainie's lemonade. Over 3 days, Lainie raised over $750.
In the last few days she's been interviewed by our local newspaper, local news station, and CNN!
We couldn't be prouder of Lainie and her efforts. While the sale is over, we decided to start a GoFundMe to keep donations rolling in and further support the costs of a specialized vehicle, training, and veterinary care for the K9s.
Thank you for your support and helping us teach our daughter that no matter how small you may be, you can make a big difference ♥️
