Lainey Rose Ashcroft Memorial

On August 14, Lizzy delivered her and Chase’s daughter, Lainey Rose, stillborn just weeks before her due date.

Little Lainey had been diagnosed with Downs Syndrome. Lizzy had been going to appointments with specialists 4x/week. On August 13 no heartbeat was detected so she was induced.  Lainey was born just after midnight.  They had a small, immediate family-only funeral on August 22nd.

We are raising money to install a memorial bench and plaque at a city park in Georgetown near their home.  Our hope is they will have a happy place to take their family to celebrate and remember their daughter and grieve the life they had planned.  Any money raised above the $1500 cost of the bench/plaque will be donated to one of several Downs Syndrome organizations Lizzy had already gotten involved in or given to the family to help with funeral expenses.
