Laila's Trip to France

There are opportunities in life that are so rare, that they have the power to permanently change your perspective. I believe that this is one of those rare opportunities. 
So, this is Laila, she is a super smart, funny and charming little sixth grader. She has a positive attitude, has been on honor roll for as long as I can remember. She was recently invited, along with about 15 other students, to go on an international field trip to Paris, France. Her French teacher chose Laila because she was very enthusiastic about learning French, she earned an A in the class. 
This 9 day trip abroad will take place in March 2018. So we don't have very much time to prepare to pay for this experience. However, I feel this is an opportunity that has the potential to shape the rest of her life. Some children never have a chance to travel beyond their front step. They don't get to see the world and many of the wonderous things that are outside of Baltimore. They begin to believe that crime, death and tragedy are common place.  
Laila is being given a chance to see what the world has to offer. I, for one don't want her to miss this. So I am here asking for my family and friends and even strangers, to help me give my baby this opportunity.
