Laika’s Eye Surgery

Laika is a six month old puppy born in Mexico and was surrendered to a local rescue
agency there. She was adopted by my family May 31st. She was born with glaucoma in
her left eye and appears to have no vision in that eye, along with swelling and an indentation.

After arriving in the US and seeing the veterinarian, the vet recommended her eye be removed due to swelling, pain and possible rupture.  The vet has recommend that the surgery be performed within the next 3-4 weeks. Don’t worry though, she will go on to
live a full and wonderful life as a one eyed dog here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest! 

At approximately $700 this is a big unexpected expense for myself and I’m asking for donations to help with the financial burden of the eye removal surgery(enuncleation).  Anything received over the amount will be donated to a local rescue.
