Lai Um’s Memorial & Charity
It is with the deepest sadness that we share our mother, Lai Um, has passed away from COVID-19 due to complications on September 22, 2020 at 11:18am. We are heartbroken. Our mother was kind-hearted to everyone she meets and has always loved her family unconditionally. She immigrated from Cambodia in the mid-eighties leaving her entire family behind with hopes of providing her children an opportunity to live in America.
We want to thank all of the doctors and nurses at Kaiser Permanente-Downey for their their genuine care with our mother.
The sudden passing of our mother has created such outpouring of continued love and generosity support from so many people and we want to thank you all!
We created this page to give everyone who know our mother and would like to make a contactless contribution can do so here. Any remaining proceeds after funeral expenses will be donated to help the less fortunate in our mothers’ homeland. One of her passion in life has always been very giving to others less fortunate. This will help bridge our opportunity to continue her giving legacy.
