DSA: Trip to Carnegie Hall

WE ARE The Achievers Ladies Ensemble, a Detroit-based nationally-recognized girls high school ensemble….and we have the opportunity of a lifetime to perform at the world’s most prestigious venue, Carnegie Hall. And you can help us make it a reality!!!
We hail from the one and only Detroit School of Arts, a nationally renowned arts and academic high school that offers a strong and rigorous college prep and performing arts curriculum. While attending DSA we have the opportunity to take courses in pre-professional vocal music, instrumental music, music technology, dance, theater, speech, radio and television production, visual arts and visual communications. Students attending DSA are exceptionally talented and gifted and with the help of the community we will continue to grow and flourish into amazing artists.
What do we do? Under the tutelage of Conne H. Malabed, we have consistently received superior ratings at district and statewide festivals. They have consistently received Superior Ratings every year. In the year of 2003 we were selected as one of the top ensembles in the state of Michigan to perform at Michigan Youth Arts Festival and proudly again in 2005, 2010, 2014, 2015 and 2016. We continue to exceed expectations and as a result had the opportunity to perform on stage at Carnegie Hall as the winning Ensemble for the Worldstrides Heritage National Choral Festival in 2013, but it doesn’t have to stop there! We have the amazing opportunity to perform at Carnegie with the National Choir under the leadership of world renown conductor Anton Armstrong. But we need help getting there!
How can you help? Donate. Donate. Donate. Spread the word within your social and business circles and all social media platforms. With your monetary donations will provide travel which include a bus, registration fees and hotel accommodations for some students who could not afford the trip.
