We need your help.....before 1st August
Lady Lily the Pink of the Monster Raving Loony Party is standing, slouching, leaning, ( occasionally kneeling), but definitely not lying, in the Brecon and Radnor By-election .
Voting takes place on 1st August 2019.
Unlike the other parties we do not have any party funds (they've all been spent on the Party party) so we need your help to cover our very modest costs. We already raised enough for the registration (£500 - half of which came from the Party's very small coffer, the rest from a Swish and Swap event and a Bring and Buy Sale).
We're not looking for the £100,000 budget afforded to the 'sensible' parties, we're not even looking for £1000, It's estimated that £150 (or so) will cover our modest costs... a few leaflets to hand out, some party badges and some fuel costs to get us on the campaign trail and to the Hustings etc..
Anything you donate will be spent frivolously (guaranteed) and anything remaining will be donated as a food parcel to the regions food banks
We are the party of None of the Above, if you don't know what to think Vote Pink....
At best, a by-election engages 30-40% of the electorate. B&R has around 53000 people eligible to vote. My aim is to encourage more people to the polls. Politicians love disengagement, the less groups of the population likely to vote the less groups they have to cater for and the less they bother to represent. Not voting is not counted, spoilt ballot papers are not counted. The only way to register your disengagement with the existing parties is to vote . Vote for None of the Above. They won't put a None of the Above on the Ballot Papers, so I've offered myself up to be that vote.
I'm not asking anyone to vote for me, all I'm asking is that you vote...but....
