Hello to everyone reading and thank you for taking the time to look at our gofundme! I’m creating this for my amazing mom, and for our struggling family. As you all can sympathize, this year has been rough. Not just for us but for everyone, between Covid and natural disasters and politics it seems like this year would never end! Unfortunately, all that aside, we have been struggling more than we ever have before. My parents, who had been married over 20 years, decided to get a divorce at the beginning of year. Since then, my mom and siblings, and now I, have moved in with my amazing Grandma. She has been so generously taking care of everyone while my mom was trying to get back on her feet and adjust to a new time in her life. It had been a long time since she worked and now she was forced to go figure out what to do with the support she once had, gone. She had been with my father since she was 17, and I can’t imagine what it feels like to suddenly not have that anymore. My Grandmother supports us mostly, even though she was set to retire in January. Then things took a turn for the worst. They found a lump in my mothers breast which turned out to be cancerous,  something called Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, which was Stage 2 Grade 3. She got the surgery to remove the cancerous tissue from her breast November Twelfth, and less than a week later at her check in they found not only they had missed some tissue, but there were cancer cells in one of her lymph nodes. She got the surgery to remove that five days after her first surgery, on November Seventeenth. My mom is a strong woman but that was really hard for her, and we were all by her side helping her recover. She still is not fully healed. Since they found cancer cells in her lymph nodes, the doctors decided chemotherapy and radiation would be best to insure the cancer does not come back. She starts chemotherapy the beginning of January, after she gets her heart checked out because of the type of chemo they are doing. She can’t have any heart issues because the chemo is very aggressive as you can imagine. She’s doing 5 months of chemotherapy, the first month is the very aggressive kind which she gets 4 rounds of. Then she moves on to get more every week for twelve weeks. After that she starts radiation, which we will take her to Bozeman 5 days a week for 6 weeks, while also starting her hormone suppressing meds sending her into early menopause. Not only that, but we have to make sure, in this great age of corona, she doesn’t get sick. Any kind of sick. As you may know chemo kills healthy cells too, suppressing you’re immune system, turning a cold into pneumonia. And we can’t lose her. My grandmother, mother and I have all been suffering long term effects from covid, making our health not the greatest either. I moved back in with them to help support financially and emotionally. And to be by my mothers side every step of the way. And it’s hard. For her it’s hard to be sick and see her whole family sad. And for us it’s hard to see what’s going to happen to her, to see our beautiful mom sick all the time, taking meds, driving her to appointments all the time, and losing her hair. She doesn’t deserve that. No one does. But, it is life. Which is why we’re asking for your donations. As you all are aware it’s expensive to be sick in this country. The medical bills from her surgery are already piling up and we haven’t even started treatment yet. And all we have is my lovely grandmother, and me. So thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you if you choose to donate. Any amount helps more than you know. And we are so great full for any support you can give as we know everyone has been suffering this year. Thank you.
