Lacing Up the Gloves for Jane

My best friend Jane is one of the most important people in my life. She has dedicated her career to developing young people in the agricultural education classroom and through FFA activities. She has "raised" several children through her work in education, putting off having her own.  Jane is extremely dedicated to her students, her family, and her friends.  Her and her husband, Justin, have been married two years.

Jane loves life and hardly never goes anywhere without a smile and a positive attitude.  She volunteers for several organizations including the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, Texas FFA State and Area associations, and county livestock show committees. She is involved in the leadership team at Spring Branch High School and orchestrated fundraisers last year to help tornado victims in Oklahoma. She is the definition of service.   



Jane has been recently diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, which has invaded her lymph nodes.  She will undergo several months of chemotherapy and radiation in hopes of slowing down the cancer in preparation for surgery.  Jane and Justin live over an hour from the hospital. She will have to miss work and travel extensively for treatments.
