Alles begann im Mai 2025. Zuerst hat Loumi (8) nur scheinbar harmlose Bauchschmerzen. Doch die Schmerzen gehen nicht weg, werden sogar schlimmer. Als sich Papa „Niggi“ den Zeh bricht und zum Arzt muss, schnappt er sich seine Tochter, um den Bauchschmerzen mal auf den Grund zu gehen. Beim Ultraschall findet der Arzt eine Zyste – und die Ereignisse überschlagen sich: Syltklinik, Klinik Heide, Universitätsklinik Hamburg-Eppendorf - Kinderkrebsstation. Der Verdacht bestätigt sich: In Loumis Bauch wächst ein aggressiver Tumor, das Burkitt-Lymphom, einer der schnellstwachsenden Tumore beim Menschen. Loumi wird ein medizinischer Port eingesetzt, über den die Zellgifte der Chemo von nun an in den kleinen Kinderkörper fließen. Der Tumor ist inzwischen so groß wie zwei Fäuste. Loumi kämpft tapfer gegen den Krebs – mit einer Stärke, die bewundernswert ist. Trotz der vielen Krankenhausaufenthalte und intensiven stationären Chemotherapien verliert sie nie ihr Lächeln. 

Während der gesamten Therapiezeit bleiben sie und ihre Mutter in Hamburg. weut weg von Familie und Freunde. Ihren Papa und ihre Schwester sieht sie höchstens an den Wochenenden. den geliebten Hund Rosa gar nicht. 

Im September hat sie die Therapie erfolgreich abgeschlossen. Loumi darf mit Ihrer Mama wieder nach Sylt. Aber der Winter steht bevor und der Sommer kann nicht mehr nachgeholt werden. Da Loumi eine echte Wasserratte ist, vermisst sie das Baden im Meer sehr. Gerne würde sie das alles nachholen. Auch merkt man wie sehr die gemeinsame Familienzeit gefehlt hat. 

Gerne möchten wir nach dieser schweren Zeit als Familie wieder schöne Momente erleben, einen Familienurlaub planen wo wir Sonne tanken können, kleine Herzenswünsche erfüllen – Ausflüge, gemeinsame Erlebnisse, einfach Zeit zum Durchatmen. 
 
Da Loumis Mama wegen der Pflege viel weniger arbeiten kann, fehlt ein großer Teil des Einkommens. Jede Spende hilft, den Alltag etwas leichter zu machen und Loumi Freude zu schenken. 
 
Lasst uns gemeinsam dafür sorgen, dass sie trotz allem lachen kann.
