La Chat 2018 Tanzania Trip

Donation protected
The International School of Geneva, La Chataigneraie 2018 Tanzania Trip is underway! In June/July, 15 Year 11 students (ages 15-16) from Ecolint's La Chataigneraie campus will visit the Kilimanjaro region of Tanzania to work with:
(1) students at WATU Secondary School in Moshi (an NGO which was founded in 2006 by Josiah Mchome, a local teacher and educational administrator, and Richard and Katherine Heery, teachers at ISG)
(2) women at DARE in Arusha (an NGO founded by Maggie Duncan-Simbeye, a local safari guide).

Every year we raise funds for WATU ( http://www.watusecondaryschool.com/) which helps underprivileged children have access to a quality education, and DARE ( http://www.darewomensfoundation.org) which empowers Tanzanian women and girls, with a focus on rural areas, through poverty alleviation, social justice, economic empowerment and gender equality. We make sure that 100% of all donations go directly to the NGOs and work with them to educate our own students in a life changing experience.

These projects are truly grassroots and show such great success as they are locally run and managed.

THANKYOU for your kind donation.
