Labyrinths in the Lounge
Donation protected
Labyrinths in the Lounge is a project to place finger labyrinths in waiting places. Walking a labyrinth is well known as a calming and settling practice, having no particular association to any particular ideology or creed. The aim is to offer initially 12 finger labyrinths for waiting rooms, hospital chapels, or other places where they may be found and used by many people – in hospitals, cancer centres, doctor's waiting rooms, blind people's homes and more. The labyrinths will be produced by Rowan, a Cambridge-based charity involving people with learning difficulties in creative activities. A simple text will be attached to each to introduce the labyrinth and suggest how to 'walk' it.
