Community of Caring Labyrinth

Labyrinths are quiet oases where people can pause, step out of the frenetic pace of life, and take time to rejuvenate. People have always visited parks for rest, renewal, and introspection, but restorative environments are needed today more than ever before. Labyrinths are both contemplative tools and restorative environments that help people respond to the complexities of modern life.

A Chartres-style labyrinth with a wide path incorporated into our nature center will add beauty to the community and offer a way for neighbors to support each other. The Labyrinth will also be available for use by organizations and groups for team-building, creativity, and problem-solving.
Embedded in a natural woodland setting,  this open-to-the-public labyrinth will use intricate patterns to promote healing,  and nourish the individuals and organizations that use it.
Our funding campaign over the next year will focus on garnering capital for excavation, gravel and brick materials, installation, travel, room and board for the installers, and volunteer support.
As protector of the woodlands in the Tug Hill Plateau, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to expand the healing potential of nature. Your loving donations will enable more people, of all abilities, to access the simple, yet amazing gifts that walking a labyrinth can offer.
