LA Summer Solidarity Institute 2017
LASSI (Los Angeles Summer Solidarity Institute) is a summer training for progressive South Asian American youth ages 18-23 to gain tools to engage in social justice and healing justice work, and to connect with community. Our fiscal sponsor is the SINGH (Secular India's National Growth & Harmony) Foundation. The 2017 program will take place in Los Angeles August 10-14.
We are an all-volunteer collective, which means 100% of your donations will go to our program costs.
$100 will cover the cost of one youth participant
$250 will cover our space rental
$500 will cover our t-shirt costs
$750 will cover our food expenses
In the current political climate, it is more important than ever to equip South Asian American youth with the tools to fight oppression and hate violence, even while they build solidarity with other oppressed communities in the United States and in South Asia.
Every dollar you donate will make a difference. Thank you for supporting the next generation of South Asian American activists and organizers!
