La Plaine, Dominica Maria Relief

Donation protected
On Monday September 19th, our beautiful island of Dominica was devastated by Hurricane Maria. The storm’s strength took our little paradise by surprise as it went from a Category 1 hurricane to Category 5 within 24 hours. Maria passed directly through the village of La Plaine and caused severe damage to homes and businesses--leaving many without safe homes to stay in, or any home at all. Some of you may remember when Tropical Storm Ericka hit Dominica 2 years ago and caused devastation that they were still recovering from, to this day, when Maria hit. Aid from neighboring islands is starting to come in, as well as aerial footage on the damage left in Maria’s wake. We will be on the ground, and have trusted people to assist us in distributing the goods to get all donations directly to where they need to go, to help the people of La Plaine rebuild the community. We will be fully transparent as to where and how the funds will be allocated and are grateful for whatever contribution you can manage. Again, while prayers are most welcome, our community needs to rebuild, and they need resources. I ask, if you have gently used clothes, kitchenware, medical supplies, tarp, tents, toys, hygienic goods, vitamins, non-perishable foods, day to day essentials, shoes, sanitary napkins, diapers, formula, bottles, etc., to think about donating it to this cause. We will be sending barrels via cargo ship back to back for the coming weeks and months. Once we have met our goal, I will personally withdraw the funds, we will purchase the supplies needed and get it to the people of the community. Please know that nothing, nothing, is too little in this dire time of need. Thank you all!
