With this crowdfunding we are looking for enthusiastic sponsors to help us realize our original project!
La Petite Écurie revives an important part of historical performance practice on period instruments. We will highlight beloved music by Händel, Purcell, Schieferdecker, Dornell, Vivaldi and Boismortier.
On our Debut-Album "The Queen's Favourites" for the label Arcana (Outhere Music), we focussed on the music scene in London. Through research we are now going to explore Europe's wide spread of oboe bands, which popped up at the end of the 17th century and became famous all over the continent.
Oboe bands did not only play their original repertoire (marches, aires) but they also performed music which was meant to be for ensembles that included strings.
This Album includes therefore well-known music and presents them in versions that you have never heard before!
