La Petite Bulle, help for education

Donation protected
Hello,

In January of 2018, cyclone Ava hit Madagascar and most of my hometown of Toamasina. Unfortunately, this was one of the strongest cyclones that the island has seen to date. In the wake of the aftermath “La petite Bulle”, a French school and one of the oldest schools in town has sustained significant damage (around 80%). Now hundreds of children that needed education and principle Emmanuelle, who also happens to be my mother, are in dire straits to repair the building. I should add that unfortunately, the school does not receive assistance from Madagascar nor the French government. Principle Emmanuelle built and ran the school for the past 25 years all out of her own pocket. Madagascar is one of the poorest countries in the world and she isn’t making much profit from it as is. The school isn’t there for principle Emmanuelle to turn great profit; it’s there for her to educate young children who normally would not get such an opportunity. I know that she loves what she does very much and it’s painful to see the school destroyed in just a few hours after she built it from the ground up little by little. All of the books and supplies the school had are now gone because of the storm. I know she would be really grateful and appreciative if we can get enough donations for the school to get back on its feet and give the children the opportunity to further their education in the best condition with the necessary resources available as soon as possible. I appreciate you taking the time to read her story.

Sincerely,
Morgane L
