LA Grooves presents: A Love Letter to LA
Join LA Grooves for a digitally streamed evening of original choreography. 7 female choreographers will present work danced to a diverse soundtrack representing their love for Los Angeles. Streaming from the rooftops of Los Angeles, A Love Letter to LA will showcase 9 professional dancers from LA Grooves exploring their relationship with the city they call home.
The dance community in Los Angeles has been severely impacted by the inability to return to our theaters safely. LA Grooves is a performance collective dedicated to presenting progressive and accessible performances to a world-wide community.
This performance will be livestreamed from Los Angeles on March 13th, 2021 at 5pm PST. All rehearsals will be conducted adhering to COVID-19 protocols.
A Love Letter to LA not only allows our community to participate in the evolution of the arts, but allows dancers to have a chance to rehearse and work towards their second performance in months. This campaign has been organized in order to compensate dancers for the rehearsal period, costumes, venue rental, and other performance necessities. Donations will additionally go towards future LA Grooves performances.
