The Village of La Farge and surrounding area has experienced catastrophic flooding this week with water levels we have never experienced. We have many business owners and village residents who have had thousands of dollars in damage and have lost personal belongings as well as in some cases unable to be open for business. We experienced 48 hours without power to over 700 people plus all of our businesses. The money will be used for immediate support for residents and business owners in the form of repair costs, equipment replacement, temporary lodging dollars, food, clothing, cleaning supplies, and other required items for our village. The past two days have been spent mainly dedicated to initial clean up efforts, but now we need funds to help our community keep going and work toward getting back to normal. These funds are necessary immediately. The hands-on volunteer support has been overwhelming, so the funds to contribute toward the next steps will be forever cherished by our residents. The funds will be administered by the La Farge Lions Club.
