La Estacion Irma/Maria recovery

Many of you have shared your concerns, prayers, and well wishes as Kevin, Idalia, Devin, and Kale have weathered two devastating hurricanes in Puerto Rico.  The transformation of a former gas station into their restaurant, La Estación (clickable link), was a labor of love and total committment of both spirit and financial resources.  Anyone who has interacted with them has been touched by their generosity and support to the local community, farmers, fisherman, and artists.  The devastation brought on by the hurricanes has destroyed the infastructure of Puerto Rico, damaged their restaurant, and made it impossible to re-open for the foreseeable future.  On top of that they experienced a fire in their home after the power came on 9 days after Irma.  

They are temporarily traveling stateside to find work in order to raise funds to return and re-open as soon as practical.  While Kevin would never ask for assistance, many of you have inquired how you might help.  They will require a substantial investment to get the restaurant up and running, both in rebuilding the physical structure and startup capital. As Kevin's brother (Joel) I have decided to set this page up as one way you can help. I am sure they would be forever gratefull for any assistance offered as they take time to regroup and then return to their life's work.  All funds raised will go directly to Kevin.
