La Dawn’s Health Insurance Deductible
I was going about my business at work the other day when I noticed that La Dawn who is a fantastic LPN that I work with was having trouble using her right arm. (As in, her arm was hanging dead at her side while she was trying to push the stretcher and carry on HER business, only minus the use of an appendage)
La Dawn is a mother of 5 children, who works full time and is currently in school to obtain her RN. She always has a great attitude and is a pleasure to work with. After some discussion, I discovered that her Internist had treated her with steroids and was recommending injections in her neck as a next course of treatment. She explained that she was unable to meet her medical insurance deductible because it would cost $2800.00 and she doesn’t currently have the funds.
It occurred to me how frustrating it must be for her to work in the medical field yet be unable to obtain the care that she needs for her own health.
Please join me in assisting her to take care of her health by attending a “fun”raiser in her honor. If you have the means please donate towards her healthcare needs.
