La Casita Mission House

Donation protected
In February I began renting a house in the community of La Canadá where I work just outside of Comayagua, Honduras. The house is small, consisting of two small bedrooms, a bathroom and a small kitchen area. It had been my dream for a while to rent a house in the community to begin to expand community outreach. Although I currently teaching English classes, Sunday School and the trade school classes in the church building, this house will serve as more of a meeting place for people in the community. My dreams are big for this small house. But before we can really begin using the house as a ministry center, there is quite a bit of work that needs to be done. We have already replaced the leaking and rotting roof with a new aluminum roof that has already proved strong in the rainy season storms. Now we must also busy window slats for the living room and kitchen area, redo some of the electrical work, install a sink in the bathroom, paint the entire house as well as build a stronger and more reliable fence for extra security. Once all the work is finished, we will also use the funds to furnish the house (seating, a stove for baking/cooking classes, a small fridge for food to help feed the community) in a way that is inviting to the whole community. We desire for "La Casita Mission House" will be a safe, welcoming place for the children and adults in the community of La Canadá.
