LA Arts District Mural Map Support!

Starting in January 2020 I decided to make a website that documents the location of every mural in the Arts District in Los Angeles and the neighborhoods that are immediately adjacent to it like Little Tokyo, Chinatown & DTLA. After living in Little Tokyo for 3 years and walking my dog Rusty in the Arts District daily I realized there was no online resource that people could use to find out where various murals were and who painted them. If you find this website useful please support la-artsdistrict.com . My goal has always been to provide easy access to the public art information for these neighborhoods. The goal is to also promote the artists that have done work in these neighborhoods. So far the response has been overwhelmingly positive. I want to keep this going! :) The main reason for starting this GoFundMe is to build an even better tool for the community and remove the financial burden on myself as we all navigate the new COVID19 world that we are now living in. Right now I'm doing all of the web development for the website and I'm paying for the hosting of the website and also promoting it too.
Donating tola-artsdistrict.com supports the following:
▪ It helps to ensure that the website will not be taken down for lack of money in these difficult times, hosting and maintaining domain name ownership is currently $400 annually.
▪ It helps provide money to get the word out. It's no good if it's there but no one knows about it. I'm currently promoting the website on Instagram through @artsdistrictmuralmap. The annual cost of my at the current spend rate is $1,826. <-- I would love to be able to double this spend to $3,650.
▪ Exceeding the above total of $4050 can be used to make other website improvements related to how the map functions. Features like clustering and user location relative to map entries for folks in the Arts District that want to see various murals require either a mapping subscription 3rd party mapping tools or a google api key. Money can also be used to improve the website in other ways too as it can finance the use of 3rd party tech that enables fancy event calendars user submission of events in the Arts District and surrounding neighborhoods.
▪ Money also helps to ensure that I won't need to run ads for unrelated businesses on the website to fund keeping this website up and running!
