My fellow Spirit Flight Attendants we need YOUR HELP! One of own Ms G AKA Malinda George is facing the fight of her life...
Her Cancer has returned.. and she needs our help.. Many of us know Malinda at first as a Flight Attendant in DTW, then a few years later she was displaced to FLL where she found a new home (base) where her family immediately grew in size. It was a new way of life. She became a commuter.
Here's a little info about her and her fight..
September 25th 2012, I received life changing information. I was diagnosed with Her 2 Breast Cancer. It was a 10 month journey of surgery and treatments. It was extremely exhausting mentally, physically, spiritually and financially. With a strong trust in God, support of family and friends made it all tolerable.
After returning to work August 2013 I pushed to get back my normal.
Completing my last treatment November 2014. When I returned to work I asked God if you could open DTW just a little bit, I would be ever so greatful. 3 months later DTW openings were announced. I was like Wow God you heard me? I then transferred.
November 2014 I went to have my chemo port removed, ready to close this chapter. I was again diagnosed with a different rare breast cancer ACC. There 159 cases and now I'm #160. Now I'm just being fancy...lol.
January 9th underwent surgery using the remainder of my sick time and had to return to work before my next treatment. When treatment begins I will be out of work for 2months. w/o pay.
There is nothing that can prepare you for life. Not Mentally, Physically, Spiritually or Financially.
A successful life is not what you go through, but how you go through it.
Please take the time to know your body and listen. Early detection is key to survival. Knowledge is key.
I would like to take this time to thank my family, my friends and my NK family/coworkers for all the support you have given me. If it was through prayer, a kind encouraging word, a card, a hug or support to my traveling Wink 4 Pink store during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I say thank you, thank you, thank you with love.

I am Child of God, a Daughter, a Friend, a Cousin Sister, a God mama, a Nail tech, a Co-worker, a Survivor x2....I am MaLinda, MaLinda G your Flight Attendant with a lil bit of Flair and a whole lot of Altitude ;-)
