Help with my MBA!

Many people complain about how lazy this generation is. We're self-indulgent. We thrive on instant gratification. We take hard work for granted. We can't live without technology. Yada, yada, yada...

But these people don't see the work that some young adults put every day to make their dreams come true. For me, this hard work has meant traveling to a foreign country, being free to choose the major I wanted to study and garner over 4 years of professional work experience (which meant working non-stop since sophomore year of college and missing many "fun" things college kids do).

I've learned a lot from working in the field, but because I'm so passionate about what I do and I'm committed to always continuing cultivating my intellect. So, I am currently pursuing a master's of business administration with a concentration in marketing at Nova Southeastern University, where I am a student employee at the school's newspaper, a DJ for the radio station and an active member of the Graduate Business Student Association (Director of Events).

It is with great pride that I say that I am also one of the advisors for my fraternity at FIU (Beta Theta Pi) and the president of the Rotaract Club of Coral Gables (a young professionals club focused on professional development and community service). So, it is safe to say that I am an active member of my current school, my alma mater and my community in general.

Right now, I’m in a little bit of a pickle... Due to the strict (and unfair) currency exchange regulations in Venezuela, my home country, I've found myself unable to exchange the assets my parents and I have and convert them to US Dollars in order to pay for my tuition.

Given that I still owe my university some money from my previous semester, I am not allowed to register for the upcoming term.

What's the big deal you ask? Why can't I just drop out of school or take a term off? Well, I am an international student on a student visa, so no money means I can't register for classes and not being registered for classes means me having to leave the country.

So, now all I ask of you is for whatever you can donate to help me reach this goal to complete the amount I owe my school so I can register for next term and continue to follow my dreams. My deadline to pay/register is September 27, so time is of extreme essence!

Thank you very, very much in advance. May God/the universe/whatever entity you believe in return the favor doubled, tripled or quadrupled!
