tion fees for our three miracle babies!! As many of y'all know, we have taken in three kids April 15,2014. They were placed in the foster care system in Alabama in January 2014. We as a family took all the steps to welcome them in our home and family. Nick and I have two older children ages 17 and 15 and never thought we would be raising three more. Money was tight of course but we came together and have given these babies a great life.
A little background information for those who don't know. Van who was two when he was taken away has been through more in his little life then any grown person I know. He has been homeless and sleeping in hotels, campers or other people couches with his drug addict birth mother, while his bio father was in jail. When we took him in our home he was really small and mentally behind. He could only say two words, was still in diapers and just very unsecured. He has come a long way since then. The twins were a month old when they were taken into foster care. Both being born with numerous drugs in their systems. Madisyn spent 27 days in nicu and David spent 17 days. They are now weighing in at around twenty pounds and have just celebrated their first birthday. All three seem to be happy and healthy. We still have a long road ahead of us with Van since the first two years were so tramatic.
On January 12,2015 the judge in Alabama gave us full custody of all three!! After 9 months of monthly visits and calles from a state social worker. Now our next step is to adopt them into our family. Since we have had them, we had to add onto our house and purchase a SUV to fit our family of 7! Our lives were forever changed when they came to live with us. We are not asking for hand outs by any means just a little help to cover the adoption fees. We have already spoken with the lawyer and signed the contract. All we need now is the money. If it's only five dollars or a quarter anything helps. If you can help a little that will be great, if you can't that's okay too. We have already received so much help from family and friends and strangers in the past 9 months and are so thankful! Please help make our dreams come true by making it official.
