Help needed for medical expenses for Roxy
This morning Roxy was involved in an attack and suffered severe lacerations and wounds and is currently just out of surgery. Her vet bills already are extensive and more medical procedures will be needed. Tonight, she will be spending the night at the Bedford Emergency Vet Hospital to be monitored.
Here’s what happened. While Roxy was at doggie day care, Amy was cleaning out her car and heard all the dogs barking, which was not uncommon but then she heard a couple sounds that were not normal and went back and saw all the dogs fighting. She whistled and her dogs stopped immediately but Roxy was lying there and she had an injury that to Amy appeared to be superficial and might need a few stitches.
Upon further evaluation it was much more severe than thought and while at the vet’s office an additional injury was found that Amy did not see initially.
Roxy was immediately taken into surgery as she suffered severe damage to her left hindquarters.
No one is to blame here!! These dogs have all played together peacefully & playfully for well over a year. It was an accident but the road to recovery for Roxy will be a long one due to the extensive injury to her hip and back leg.
Roxy’s mom, Lisa and fellow friend, Amy asked me to help setup this page to assist with Roxy’s expenses. No amount is too little and every dollar donated is greatly appreciated.
I promise to keep you updated on her condition and progress.
Thank you in advance for your support, kindness, and prayers for Roxy.
