JUST A DOLLAR

I am trying to help my friend, and I am asking you to help me. Even if just a dollar is all you can spare, then your dollar will truly make a difference.

 My beautiful friend Stephanie recently gave birth to a baby girl, Emelia. Sadly, her daughter was stillborn. On the day she was due to give birth, she discovered her precious child no longer had a heartbeat.

 Stephanie is a single mother, and is far too familiar with death. After loosing her parents in 2011 and 2012, her baby girl was going to breathe new life into the grieving family. This, however, was not to be the case.

 Having no partner or parents for support, Stephanie went home with her then 12 year old daughter, empty arms and broken heart. The experience of being the mother of a stillborn child has been incredibly isolating for her.

 Recently, an opportunity has arisen for Stephanie to attend a retreat for healing. A retreat for bereaved mothers to honour and heal the loss of their babies. Due to her circumstances, this is not affordable for Steph.

 Lets work together to make this possible, for Steph to attend the Return to Zero retreat. Lets give something back to the mother who had to give your own child back. This retreat promises healing, peace, honouring the babies. Most importantly, this retreat is run by some of the world’s leaders in the field of stillbirth. It promises education.

 Stephanie has made it her personal mission to help support other grieving mothers and families, to educate communities and break the silence surrounding the taboo subject of stillbirth. So, this healing and education will not only benefit my friend and her daughter, it will benefit others who may sadly follow the path of stillbirth and chid loss.

 I have tried to keep this simple and not go into the depth of pain felt by Stephanie, because really, it is unimaginable unless you have walked this road yourself. I have witnessed this first hand in my friend and I want so much to give back to the mother of all mothers, the mother who gave her child back.
