Dear beautiful friends,
Some of you may already know about our sweet friend Riss and the heartbreaking fire that took place last week. For those of you that don't, here is the story -
Riss is one of the most generous people I have ever known. It's incredibly hard to write about her and not sound sappy. Her loving spirit is infectious. She lights up a room with goofy, loving laughter and she is exceptionally kind to everyone she encounters.
On top of being a sunshine goddess, she is also an incredibly talented artist. She can weld, paint, build and fix just about anything she gets her hands on. She is someone who has found a dream and has worked extremely hard to achieve it.
In the past few years life has thrown Riss, medical and financial curve balls, one after the other. Each time she has refused to quit. Each time she has gotten back up and worked even harder. This time she needs our help.
Last week a fire broke out at the house she had been working on and living in. It destroyed her bed, personal belongings, clothes and savings. What was even more devastating to Riss was that she lost all of her tools, her entire portfolio, her studio space and the ability to do what she loves most. All of her work went up in flames and everything she cared about and had worked towards was gone in a single day.
Let’s make this right.
