In Memory of Claudia Francisco

Claudia Francisco passed away early in the morning hours of Sunday, January 25th, 2015. She leaves behind her loving husband, Claudio, and her beautiful 13-year-old daughter, Raphaella.
My wife and I were introduced to Claudia in 2012 through our church. She was recommended as someone who would be a loving nanny for our daughter. We were so happy that she chose to take care of our first daughter, Milla Marie. When we had our second daughter Valentina, Claudia was just as excited as us to help raise our newborn with us while continuing to be Milla's nanny and friend.
On October 21st, 2014, before leaving at the end of the day, Claudia shared with us that she had been experiencing some pain under her arms and that she might need to see a doctor to get it checked out. Her last words to us were, “Don’t worry. It will be alright. I’ll be back tomorrow.”
Sadly, this was not the case. Instead, it was the beginning of a very short and painful journey that we couldn't imagine would turn out the way that it did.
Claudia was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer and started chemo treatments the next day. Within days, there were additional reports showing that the cancer was also in her lungs, bones and brain.
Claudia was always a hard-working, positive, loving and caring person. Now her husband and daughter need the love and care of others to carry on.
The immediate purpose of this GoFundMe account is to help with the burdensome costs of funeral services and any unpaid medical expenses. We are also trying to raise enough to fund the costs of Raphaella's education and activities.
This is a time when we are asking all of our friends to help a family in need. We would love to see everyone donate above and beyond the goal set, and we thank each of you in advance for your donation or for offering any other means of help for Claudia’s family.
