Spring Break Volunteer Trip

Hi Friends and Family,

My friend Emma and I are trying to fundraise money to travel to the Dominican Republic over spring break for 8 days on a really special volunteer program sponsored by the Global Leadership Adventures (GLA). While we are in the DR, we will volunteer on projects like building ecologically sustainable schools and medical clinics from recycled materials, and we will have a unique opportunity to help the children of the DR with their English.  We'll provide good role models to these children who rarely see any kids our age outside of their villages.

What will we get out of this experience? We're excited to learn about the rich and varied culture of the DR, of course, but primarily, we just want to help people.

I'm writing to you to ask if you could donate a minimum of $10 (but more is fine and welcome!) to help me afford this amazing trip and opportunities to help kids who are far less fortunate than we are.
