Myles' Battle Against Leukemia

Hello everyone,

A very good friend of mine, Myles, received a sudden and shocking diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia this past week. For those of you who know him, you know that his nickname is “Myles above ordinary” or “Myles of smiles”. He is one of the most fun, outgoing and cheerful people that I know. He is a great person, with a huge heart. Myles and his family are going to need lots of love, support, and prayers to get through this extremely difficult time. 

Myles is currently at UNMH undergoing chemotherapy and blood transfusions for the next 4-6 weeks. If there are no set backs, the next stage will be outpatient chemotherapy for the next year, with a stem cell transplant in Phoenix lasting up to 6 months. Myles will also need around the clock care in a sterile setting. He has a long road ahead of him to fight this.

The financial burden that a diagnosis like this has on a family is unfathomable. I have seen the power of medical fund contributions before, and am reaching out for any help that we can provide for Myles and his family. Please consider giving any amount to this beautiful family to help alleviate their financial burden during this difficult season in their life.
